One Conference Rally Recap

Our One Conference Rally just happened this past Wednesday night. It was held at the Olympia Theater in downtown Miami. Side note: this theater is amazing. When I walked in for the first time, I literally stopped and starred for about twenty seconds.

Anyway, the night couldn’t have gone better. The rebel band did exceptionally well. Transitions were great, intro was flawless, the night was fantastic. The people were also alive, which any worship leader appreciates! I love when I can hear the crowd over me, belting the songs out like they mean it. Here’s the set we did:

I love our version of With Everything. The keys come in from the beginning on this amazing Rhodes sound. The drummer doesn’t play until the third chorus at the end (“Our hearts they cry, be glorified…”) right before the “Whoa-oh’s”. VERY powerful moment.

There were a few things that I didn’t enjoy. 1) My in-ear monitor situation was very frustrating. It kept falling out of my ear, which usually doesn’t happen. I currently use Shure SE530’s with foam tips. 2) I’m not fond of my guitar tone right now. Looking into trading my current Tele Thinline for something like a Gibson 335.

As for Christine Caine, what can I say? She did great? She preached our faces off? It was one of the most inspiring messages I’ve ever heard? All those things would be understatements. Christine is very much obviously called and anointed by God to do what she does and she does it with everything she’s got. You would have to have no soul to walk away from one of her messages not feeling challenged to your very core to do something with your life for God’s glory and kingdom.
