Rebelchurch & Whosoevers: Prayer Night

Crazy, crazy week. Then again, which week isn’t crazy around here? It all started last Wednesday with the night of worship. With the altar call and closing song, I had fourteen songs prepared. I mentioned on Twitter I would be posting the set list, so here ya go:

God Is Alive
Sing Sing Sing
Glorious
Desert Song
You Alone Can Rescue
How He Loves
With Everything
The Stand
None But Jesus
Forever ReignGod Of This City
Our God
altar call: Invitation Fountain
closer: Glory To God Forever
We did the worship night in four different sections/themes. First theme: praise, worship, adoration. Second theme: deliverance, rescue. Third theme: surrender. And the final theme: outreach, ministry. Instead of just jumbling a bunch of songs together, I thought there could be some order to the chaos. I’m eager to gain more experience planning extended times of worship in the future. This time was for sure better than the last!
Next was the baptism on Saturday, which was totally epic. Gorgeous day outside, amazing temperature (reminded me of cali!). Tons got baptized. I got to dunk people with Pastor Pedro, which is always a blast. I noticed that this time was a little different then others. Peoples prayers were pretty hardcore. A lot of people just started off their prayer asking God for forgiveness from their sins. Their prayers were so honest and real. They were just being open before God. I can’t wait to see what God does in and through these people in the years to come!
We ended the craziness with a RebelChurch prayer night with Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D. and Ryan Ries from the Whosoevers. The rebel band was rocking worship. We opened it up with Rise and Sing, Hallelujah Song (I wrote that one), No Reason To Hide and How He Loves. Sonny and Ryan shared some stuff, videos, led us in prayer and then we had an afterglow. For the afterglow the band played With Everything and Our God. These two songs couldn’t have been better to end the prayer night with. The lyrical content matched so perfectly with what we had all been praying for.
The RebelChurch prayer night was like two hardcore Jesus-following organizations teaming up to light a fire under the crazy work God is doing in Miami. It was incredible. Be sure to pray for The Whosoevers and catch up with them at http://thewhosoevers.com/ or follow them @thewhosoevers on Twitter or like them on Facebook at http://facebook.com/thewhosoevers.
