One Conference

Top Ten Favorite Moments at One Conference

1. Leading worship for 6000 people.

This was by far the largest crowd I’ve ever led worship for. It was such a thrill. The times of worship and singing were over-whelming.

2. Working with the greatest volunteers in the world.

The word “volunteering” doesn’t even come close to what these people did. They made any “sacrifice” I’ve ever made in ministry look like childs play.

3. Selling our first ever EP.

This was completely unintentional. It was never our goal to make cd’s and sell them. It was only our goal to get these songs into people’s hands so that they would know them for the conference and eventually make them a reality in their lives.

4. Experiencing the Impact:ONE Center.

I am so privileged to be able to say I know the guy that designed this entire space. He’s a genius, his passion is infectious and I will forever look up to him as a role model. The ONE Center was life-changing.

5. Bringing my son on stage.

I was asked to come on stage during Rich Wilkerson’s pre-offering message. I was about to hand Landon to my wife, Chrissy, when I thought, “Why does my son need to stay behind? I want to make him a part of everything I get to do!” With that, I took off to the stage with Landon in my arms.

6. Praying with the pastors.

This was one of the most powerful moments at the conference. It was incredible seeing denominational walls being broken down and churches and pastors uniting to impact this world for Christ.

7. Leading worship with Hillsong United.

How could I not put this one? During our Sunday morning church services (at which Hillsong United led worship and Brian Houston preached) I had the honor of playing with United and even playing one of my songs with them. There are no words.

8. Gleaning from incredible wisdom.

Bottom line: We had no idea what we were doing. Fortunately, we were surrounded by people that did. People like Houston Clark, co-founder of Clark ( http://www.clark.is/ ). And along with him was the Velocity production team (same guys that do Passion and Catalyst). Just a few of the incredible people that helped put this thing together.

9. Pre-Service prayer.

Before the services, we usually have a little pep-rally/prayer time. It really pumps you up. The one right before the opener to the conference was particularly special. The photo below only shows a quarter of the people there. Amazing moment.

10. Watching the RBLBND own it.

Up until the ONE Conference, these guys had been practicing 2-3 times a week until around midnight each time. They put in so much work for this thing. I’m so proud of them and would have no other group of people claim the title of RBLBND.

Extra: Frank Harrision driving a dirt-bike on stage.

That was just flat-out cool.
